My name is Diego Rodriguez-Losada. I am an Industrial Engineer, Ms in Mechanics, PhD in Robotics.
I am an Associate Professor at EUITI-UPM and researcher at Intelligent Control Group, a research group of Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM) located at DISAM laboratory in Madrid, Spain.
My main research interests are Mobile Robots Navigation, specifically Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), but I have been involved in different kind of robotics and industrial projects.
News
- 6-April-2011. Won ActuaUPM contest!. One of the 1000€ award out of approx. 450 proposals.
- 10-Jan-2011. Added GPUmapping software for the "conditionally accepted" paper for IEEE-RAM. Added personal section.
- 2-July-2010. Public
examination for a tenured
track position as professor. Finally I did it! Not internship anymore!
Now I am a tenured track Associate Professor!
- 5-July-09. Participated in Robocup 09 (Graz, Austria) in Simulation Rescue. Classiffied for semifinal in 3rd place, finallly got 5th place. However, a great experience
- June-09. Finally got the Acreditacion Nacional of ANECA (something I need for a tenured track position). :) :) :) :)
- 16-March, travel to Rome, "La Sapienza" for OpenRDK workshop.
- Dec-08. Complete redesign of the web, using CSS styles.
